I got this book because I was intrigued by a review on bookstagram saying that it was a story about a young woman who had lost her husband in an accident and is now discovering herself as a person. Now this is all true, but I wasn’t expecting it to be a spicy summer romance - and that’s personally not a genre I’m super into, so the reason I wasn’t obsessed with this book is purely personal taste rather than there being anything wrong with the book! It was fun to read, it never got boring, and I did find myself surprisingly invested to know what happened in the end. And to say that it is just a light romance is not entirely true, as it does feature characters processing grief & trauma, and I loved the friendships within the book and the important roles they played.

If you guys are into insta-love, forbiddenlove, or age-gap romances - this is the book for you!
