Veronica is an old woman who lives alone in her house in a peaceful, remote area in Scotland, and has no one to pass on her fortune to when she dies. That is, until she finds out she has a grandson she never knew about. But when he turns out to be a bit of a mess, and Veronica develops a love for penguins, she begins to wonder whether she can use her money to help a good cause.

This book was a joy to read from start to finish - it was funny, moving, fascinating and refreshingly different to anything I have read before. I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves nature & animals! Although the MC’s are flawed they are so so loveable and have very well-developed backstories.

How dyslexia-friendly is it?

I found this book so effortless to read. The writing style was so accessible!
