This short and accessible crime thriller is about a woman who finds out that her husband is dead, and that his best friend discovered his body. She happened to be staying at that friends’ house at the time, as she had recently left her husband. It is clear that the circumstances of his death are suspicious, and it is not clear who is being honest about what happened. The narrator has an eye condition that causes blind spots to appear in her vision, and cannot drive, despite living in a remote house on a cliff in Scotland. The story is about guilt, reputation, lies, revenge and victims.
My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The book is very accessible and dyslexia-friendly. It is short , the chapters are not long, the font and text spacing and size are clear and large, and the language is easy to follow. The book is written in the third person past tense.
