A fantastic take on a classic-whodunnit murder mystery set in a high school. Five students are in detention, when one drops dead. Although the timeline of events is continuous and chronological, the perspectives and narrative voices switch between each of the four students who were in detention. I thought there was really good character development, and by the end none of the characters felt like the ones who were introduced at the beginning. I was absolutely gripped by the time I got halfway through the book and was loving all the twists and turns. I did guess the ending way before it was revealed, but I had not worked out WHY it would make sense, so I found the ending to be immensely satisfying and it tied together so many strings and unanswered questions really nicely. I will definitely be reading the sequel at some point!

How dyslexia-friendly is it?

There are actually quite a lot of characters in this book, but I felt like they were introduced quite slowly and steadily throughout and I never had to make notes. The book took me longer to get through as the writing on my copy was surprisingly small. Writing wise, I thought it was great, but it wasn't as easy as I had expected.
