This book is about five adults living in South London who have nothing in common other than they share a father who has been largely absent from all of their lives and loves his jeep more than any of his kids. Other than the youngest and oldest siblings, they all have different mothers. When Dimple’s (one of the siblings) life crashes down around her, the rest of her half-brothers and sisters become suddenly involved with each other. They also end up reconnecting with their dad, but after years of being absent, the complicated and toxic family dynamic brings up lots of conflicts and emotions.

Each of the siblings are very different people, some of them are not easy to like, and not all of them are completely believable well-rounded people. I thought that the plot was quite wild and not completely believable at times, but it did keep things interesting. The ending is lovely and it is uplifting has a very positive message, but it didn’t feel completely realistic. It’s written in the third person past tense.
