A really beautiful story that is written so well I kept thinking I was reading a memoir! The stream of consciousness writing style was surprisingly easy to read, and reminded me of the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, so if you enjoyed that book I recommend this one. It’s such a bittersweet story because it’s written kind of like a romance with the MC reminiscing on her past, and yet it is all about relationships falling apart and being misunderstood. The topic of mental health and how it affects relationships, family and personal identity feature heavily throughout this book, and yet the name of the disorder the MC has is never mentioned. I think this is really interesting because it stops the reader from letting their preconceptions about the disorder impact their interpretation of the story.

How accessible is it?

I had no problems reading this! Sometimes I find stream of consciousness styles a bit hard to follow but this one felt very natural to read.
