I absolutely loved this book! Very clever plot dealing with multiple perspectives, and the narrative skips around throughout different time periods, gradually piecing together the story. The book features multiple complex romantic relationships between women more than a century ago in 1915, and the sickening and devastating long-lasting effects of homophobia and discrimination. It is a very clever an unpredictable murder mystery with some fantastic plot twists! If you are interested in historical murder mysteries and romantic novels, you should love this book.
How dyslexic friendly is it?
Once I had learned all the names of the characters (it feels like there are quite a lot at the beginning especially as most have nicknames too) it was not a challenging read, and I was able to really enjoy it!
Also, I should mention that this book is one in the middle of a series, but I read it as a stand alone book and it made complete sense to me! I will however read more from the series as I loved this one so much!
