This is a books about a newly-single woman who was involved in a serious accident, and has taken on a new job in a book shop café in a remote cove in the hope she can recover from her trauma. She suffers from OCD, flashbacks and paranoid after her accident, and worries that danger might have followed her to her new home. I loved the audiobook narration! Although the concept sounds scary, 'The Cove’ is more like a romance with a few tense scenes. It is definitely a cosier light-hearted thriller and a really enjoyable read. The plot was very interesting though and I did not guess the ending at all! I loved that it was set in a beach-side bookshop café, with a protagonist who loved books!
How dyslexia-friendly is it?
I found this on the audible plus catalogue, and it was so easy and enjoyable to listen to. I think the language is simple and clear, it wasn’t too long, and it was so engaging!
