A friend recommended this series to me and I’m so glad they did! I have always enjoyed murder mysteries but I had never read something exactly like this. Ruth, the protagonist, is a forensic archaeologist and a specialist in human bones. After the discovery of the skeleton of a young girl found on an ancient burial site, she meets a detective who is still searching for a girl who went missing 10 years ago. As their paths cross they eventually find themselves in danger, as some people do not want them to uncover the past.
This book is so rich in geographical and historical details about the place in which it is set, I feel like I learned a lot from the book. The plot builds up slowly in tension throughout, and I ended up staying up way too late one night in order to finish it!
How dyslexia-friendly is it?
I found it to be a nice read, my book had large enough clear font, and I think Griffith’s writes in a very accessible way. Some of the names are pretty unusual so I found them easier to remember!
I love that the book has a map! The books in this series also have a really cool feature at the back which is a list of the characters and a bit of information about each of them!
