Agatha Christie’s ‘And Then There Were None’ is one of my absolute favourite books, and when I found out that this book is also about a small group of people stuck on a remote, stormy island, I knew I had to read this book!

This book has everything I enjoy: multiple character perspectives, characters with many secrets and complicated histories, a dramatic setting (stormy weather on a remote Irish island), brilliant twists throughout the book, jumping back and forward in time, and a murder where there are many many suspects…for me this was the perfect book!

It has what I thought was a really nice & unusual structure for a murder mystery, where we don’t actually find out there has been a murder (or who has been killed) until really late into the book, and it gradually builds in tension until I found it impossible to put down.

Now, without giving any spoilers away, I did actually guess what the ending might be pretty early on in the book. I wasn’t entirely sure that it would end that way but I thought ‘that would be a good twist’. However it didn’t ruin it for me at all, it was a very satisfying end, and it made me feel good that I guessed correctly because I’m not usually very good at figuring out murder mysteries before they are revealed!. There were many other twists in the book that I definitely did not see coming, and a couple of 😮 🤯moments! The reason I gave it 5 stars is purely based on the fact that I enjoyed reading this SO much, it was like watching a fantastic movie for me!

How dyslexic friendly is it?

I found the writing style very very easy to read, I didn’t have to put much effort in and it was like I was watching a movie. Even though there are many characters and multiple narrators, I never had to go back and remind myself who characters were- they are introduced very well and I love that each chapter tells you who the narrator is and what their job/position in the wedding party is.
