I really enjoyed The Guest List, so I was happy that this book was pretty similar (it also had multiple perspectives/narrators, dual timelines, a murder, small group trapped in a remote location…). It is about a group of friends who are spending their New Years in a remote cabin in Scotland. There are many tensions within the group, and when a snow storm cuts off access to the train station, the police cannot get to the group even after one of them is found dead.
Although I didn’t find it as twisty as The Guest List, there were some good twists that shocked me! I think it was a very enjoyable book, and a great cosy murder mystery.
How dyslexia-friendly is it?
I thought this was a very easy book to read. I like Lucy Foley’s writing style and have found both novels I have read by her very easy to read, and as they are pretty gripping I find that I can get through them quite fast!
