A wholesome book about a grandma and granddaughter who have been deeply impacted by the loss of a family member. The story is told in alternating chapters from the two perspectives. Both women have some serious ‘fixing’ to do in their lives, and decide to switch houses temporarily in the hope that it will give them a refreshing break from their current situations. This book is part romance, but also one about self-love and recovery after loss. It is very moving at times, but also very funny and hopeful. I thought some of the events were a little bit unrealistic and I felt at times that I wasn’t very gripped (perhaps these were because of the narration on the audiobook?). Despite this, I do recommend this book because it has some really lovely characters and moments and some fantastic quotes.
How dyslexia-friendly is it?
I think it is quite an unchallenging read, besides there being quite a few characters and names to remember once the switch takes place.
