I was so surprised and impressed by this book! If this review seems sparse or vague - it is because I don’t want to ruin any of the plot. The book is a psychological thriller about a writer who goes to stay in a remote lodge in the wilderness in the hope that it will help her with her writing. Right from the beginning, things are clearly wrong, but you don’t necessarily know exactly what is wrong. Things start to get weirder and weirder as the book progresses, and the events are so disconcerting and scary and you will probably be so confused about what is going on. It is not until the big twist and the very end that the beginning of the book makes sense. It is such a fantastic twist that explains so many of the previous events. You will probably want to re-read the whole thing (like me) once you've finished! I would have never guessed the ending of this book, and it was so nice to be so surprised!

How dyslexia-friendly is it?

Don’t worry if you feel a little bit confused whilst reading - I thought I wasn’t understanding it properly when I first read it but it turns out that is exactly how you are meant to feel, and everything becomes clear later on. Other than that, the writing style was easy to understand, it was vivid and full of action!

One thing I would like to say is that this book is actually really really dark, disturbing and upsetting at times - I won’t say exactly what it is or else I will spoil it but feel free to message me if you want a clearer TW!
