From the very first chapter I knew I would really enjoy this book - the characters are hilarious and relatable, and it’s such a lovely, cosy and witty read. I had absolutely no idea how old the book was until I looked it up afterwards, and was so surprised because I thought it was much more modern than it is! It’s aged well and the language and writing style is really accessible for its age. Not much happens in the plot compared to some of the other thriller novels I read, but it’s still engaging and interesting, with many funny anecdotal ramblings and retelling of events.
How dyslexia-friendly is it?
I listened to the audiobook of this for the most of it as well as did a bit of reading, but I thought it was so easy to follow on audiobook.
